It can be a stressful, anxious time when your baby has to be placed on special care. Although you know there are a lot of nurses and doctors around it doesn’t help knowing your baby is on a special ward. Babies on special care might be different from other babies in that they are not as heavy. They might have problems feeding and need to be fed by tubes.
Babies are placed on special care for all kind of reasons. Some babies are born early whilst others are born with complications. Having a baby that has to stay on special care can be extremely emotional and stressful. There are nurses and doctors on the wards all the time, buzzers go off and there is a lot of noise.
As well as having a baby, having a baby on special care can be a whole new level of stress. It can be very difficult for the whole family. Seeing your baby on a special care ward can be very distressing. It might be appropriate not to bring other small children into special care to see the baby as it can be difficult for them to cope with. However if you want to do everything as a family then you could talk to children first and tell them what to expect.
When it comes to carrying on with life after having a baby you might want to take up a course of study. Whatever you decide after having a child take some time for you. Moving forward can be difficult especially if your pregnancy has not been good. Many men stay at home and help their wives, but eventually they are forced to go to work because there is no income coming in. They cannot survive without going out to work. The question remains what career will they enter? Is this a good time to change career? Many men go back to college where they study courses. Many men in the past have worked as farmers using a cultivator to prepare the ground for crops. Some men have become gardeners for a living. Often they are self employed which suits families because they are able to set their own hours. They need to buy certain equipment before they are able to start their gardening business. Lawn garden tools are a must in the gardening trade.
